A New Hero And A New Villain Are Coming To 'The Flash' Season 2

With only a little more than a month to go before the second season premiere of The CW's speedy superhero drama The Flash, the show is stacking up on some promising heroes and villains from DC Comics. Now, we can add two more to the lineup.

According to a TV Line exclusive, a more-or-less untested actress, Violett Beane, has been cast as Jesse Quick, aka Jesse Chambers — a DC universe superhero with super-speed abilities, described as "a brilliant but quirky college student who gets caught up in the battle between the Flash and Season 2's big bad, Zoom." (As of now, the role of Zoom remains unfilled.)

In addition to this, Hemlock Grove's Demore Barnes is set to appear as Tokamak/Henry Hewitt, a S.T.A.R. Labs recruit with much more insidious motives. He was also changed by the same accelerator explosion that gave The Flash (Grant Gustin) his powers.

The Flash makes its way back to The CW on October 6.
