The four-month-old LG G4 is now on sale on eBay for $240 off of LG's suggested retail price. It's only $420, off contract, for a limited time and it's only compatible with two of the U.S. top four wireless carriers.
The LG G4 H815 on offer is the international version of the handset and will work with certain U.S. carriers such as AT&T and T-Mobile. The phones come straight from LG and are factory unlocked, according to the eBay merchant.
The version of the phone at Techno Trading House's eBay storefront has 32 GB of internal storage and is available in black, red or brown. The unlocked LG G4 ships for free, though buyers can speed things up with one-day shipping -- it also ships internationally.
For those who haven't kept an eye on LG's leather-clothe flagship, the LG G4 packs Snapdragon 808 off of Qualcomm's top shelf and the chipmaker's Adreno 418 graphics processing unit.
"LG and Qualcomm Technologies collaborated from the initial stage of the Snapdragon 808 introduction to expertly tune the technologies and make several of the LG G4's unique features possible," said Paul E. Jacobs, executive chairman of Qualcomm International when the G4 was launched. "The resulting G4 smartphone is an ideal example of how the best optimized technologies come together to meet consumers' needs."
It has 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of long-term storage and it has a memory card slot that can be used to add more space. Using a micro SDXC card, users can add up to 2 TB of storage to their handsets.
Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protects the G4's 5.5 inch display, which outputs a pixel count of 2560 x 1440. There's an 8 MP chat cam on its face and the camera on its back has double that resolution.
The G4 ships with Android 5.1, though it may not get another taste of Lollipop if reports are true. Rumors, un-anchored to any evidence we can see, alleged that LG will skip over Android 5.1.1 to Android 6.0 Marshmallow for the G2, G3 and G4.
