Fans of the Sonic the Hedgehog Twitter account are probably used to the account's occasional weirdness, but it seems that the person behind the account has decided to go full-on weird lately, if the latest tweets are any indication.
One of those tweets actually attempted to console Chris Pranger, a Nintendo employee recently fired after making some remarks about the company on a podcast.
The kiss referred to in the tweet happened during the 2006 Sonic the Hedgehog game. In that game, Sonic dies, but gets resurrected by a kiss from Princess Elise. Eventually, Sonic becomes Super Sonic and gets new powers. It's fitting that Sonic would console a fired Nintendo employee while also poking fun at itself. It seems that this Twitter account does a bit of that. It's not always just weird, too: sometimes, the tweets are funny. Here, Sonic promises new DLC for its latest game, featuring parts of Shia LaBeofu's motivational speech that turned the actor into yet another meme.
The Twitter account has also confronted some of its games' critics:
Sometimes, Sonic comments on social media:
Of course, it's all in good fun, and that's what Sonic knows best, right?
