T-Mobile Slashes Price Of Samsung Galaxy S6 And Galaxy S6 Edge By Up To $200

If you're on the fence about purchasing a Galaxy S6 or Galaxy S6 Edge from Samsung, now could be the best time to purchase one of them, that is, if you are a T-Mobile subscriber or T-Mobile's network coverage is good in your area.

T-Mobile has cut down the price of Samsung's flagship smartphones by up to $200. The magenta carrier began by lowering the price of the 32 GB and 64 GB variants of the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, then followed with a whopping $200 price drop for the 128 GB models of both flagship phones.

Following T-Mobile's price drops, the 32 GB Galaxy S6 is now $579, while the 128 GB is now only $659, down a huge $200 from its original price of $859. The 64 GB, meanwhile, is also $659, so it's better to go after the 128 GB variant, which has double the storage but has the same price.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy S6 Edge 32 GB is now $679, while the 128 GB version is now $759. As usual, the 64 GB won't give customers more value for their money here, so we recommend to skip it and go after the 128 GB version instead.

Additionally, customers can avail of T-Mobile's device installment plans to purchase the Galaxy S6 32 GB for 24 monthly payments of $24.17 or the 128 GB variant for $27.50 per month. The Galaxy S6 Edge is also eligible for monthly installments of $28.33 per month for the next 24 months, and the 128 GB version for $31.67 per month.

It is unclear whether the price cuts are simply part of a temporary promo for the two smartphones or whether T-Mobile plans to sell these devices at lower prices for good. If it is the latter, we have yet to see other wireless carriers and retailers following suit.

The price cuts come in the wake of reports that Samsung is considering permanently lowering the prices of the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge after a poor sales performance in the last three months.

Earlier this week, we reported that Samsung was seen testing the price cuts in the Netherlands, where the smartphones were being sold for 100 euros less than their regular prices.
