Verizon and LG have teamed up to offer customers a great deal to entice them to purchase LG's current flagship, the LG G4.
Customers who head on over to Verizon to purchase an LG G4 are entitled to receive a Visa prepaid card loaded with $100.
The deal runs through Aug. 1 until Aug. 12, so customers who are thinking of getting an LG G4 will have to hurry to the Verizon website or to a physical location to avail of the promo.
Keep in mind that buyers will not be able to receive the $100 Visa prepaid card right away. To be able to take advantage of the deal, customers will need to visit www.lgg4augustrebate.com and register their purchase. LG will then verify their registration before mailing the prepaid card to the customer's home.
Customers can also register their new LG G4 via snail mail, but this will likely take longer for LG to process prepaid cards.
Only customers who are at least 18 years old are eligible to apply for a Visa prepaid card.
Verizon's LG G4 is currently available only in metallic gray, ceramic white and genuine leather black. Those who are looking to purchase the phone in other leather and wooden variants might be disappointed to know Verizon is not offering them right now and that the deal does not apply to these variants.
Customers can pay the full price of $549.99 for the LG G4, but they can also opt to avail of the offer using Verizon's device payment plan, through which they can pay for their new smartphone in increments of $22.91 per month for the next 24 months. they can also choose to enter a two-year agreement with Verizon for $199.99, during which customers are stuck with the network for the next two years unless they pay early termination fees.
The LG G4 was received with a positive response when it debuted in April. Banking upon the lack of sought-after features, LG decided to include a microSD slot for expanding the device's storage and a removable 3,000 lithium-ion battery that can be swapped with a secondary battery, which LG made available for free for a time following the launch.
The phone also distinguishes itself aesthetically from other smartphones with a premium build by using genuine leather and wooden cases in place of the usual glass and metal combination.
The LG G4 runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 and has 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of built-in storage. It sports a 5.5-inch Quad HD LCD display, a 16MP rear camera with optical image stabilization and an 8MP secondary camera in front. Out of the box, the handset runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop.
