The Harley Quinn 'Frozen' Parody Gets Animated

Remember, last year, when every kid on the planet was singing songs from Disney's hit film Frozen? Then someone decided to take one of those songs, "Do You Want To Build A Snowman?" and turn it into a parody song starring none other than Batman nemesis Harley Quinn, called "Do You Want To Kill The Batman?"

That video, created by YouTubers Sydney Amber and Hesychia7, was so popular that another user and animator, Michael Smith, decided that it deserved the animated treatment. The result is an adorable rendition of the song performed by a very well-animated Harley as she sings to the Joker, who is hidden behind his jail cell walls at Arkham Asylum.

The resulting video also shows how Smith did it, outlining some of his creative and technical process behind the animation.

It's a short film (extremely short when cut down to just the animated parts), but definitely worth a watch. And don't miss the special cameo by the Caped Crusader himself at the end.

So everyone needs to like and share this animation because let's face it: the Internet needs more of this. Perhaps if persuaded, Smith would animate the entire musical number — which would exceed everyone's Frozen and DC Comics expectations, right?

Meanwhile, Disney plans on releasing a sequel to Frozen, so look forward to more such upbeat numbers sung by kids at the top of their lungs, soon. Here's hoping that this will mean more comics crossovers, as well.

On another note, a lot of good has come out of the original film: recently, Kristen Bell – who voiced Anna – called up a sick little girl as her character and made her an honorary princess, brightening the child's day.

Interestingly enough, at one point, there were rumors of Bell taking on Harley Quinn on screen, but that role ultimately went to Margot Robbie, who portrays Harley in Suicide Squad.
