T-Mobile Adds Apple Music To List Of Music Freedom Free Streaming Services

T-Mobile has confirmed that with immediate effect, Apple Music has been added to the list of Music Freedom free streaming services.

T-Mobile started the Music Freedom promotion in June 2014 that allowed customers to stream music from a number of music streaming services such as Spotify, Rhapsody, Pandora, iHeart Radio, Slacker, Milk Music and more without burning monthly data. On Tuesday, July 28, T-Mobile confirmed the addition of Apple Music to the free streaming services.

"Stream unlimited music on your phone or tablet without burning your 4G LTE data. No overages, no data caps, just all the music you want from your favorite music services like Apple Music, Pandora, iHeartRadio, Rhapsody, and more," per T-Mobile.

The announcement of adding Apple Music to the free streaming service comes as the company's "Un-carrier Amped" promotion that has been running all Summer.

iPhones remain one of the most-popular smartphones and the addition of Apple Music to T-Mobile's free streaming service may attract more customers to buy Apple smartphones from the carrier.

"First, we're amping up Un-carrier 6.0, Music Freedom and adding Apple Music to our list of 33 services that stream totally free on T-Mobile. Apple Music has become the single most requested new addition to Music Freedom and counts for a full 80% of the requests coming in via Twitter. I heard every one of them, so it's happening right now!" says John Legere, the CEO of T-Mobile.

Legere also revealed that Music Freedom has grown since June 2014 from just 7 streaming services to 33 now. Legere also pointed that Music Freedom cover 95 percent of all music streamed on mobile devices in the U.S.

Un-carrier customers stream more than 131 million songs each day in the U.S. T-Mobile highlighted that if AT&T customers played the same number of songs then they will end up paying over $2.3 billion a year.

T-Mobile is offering the iPhone 6 for $0 up front and just $15 per month when you trade in any smartphone. Legere unveiled some good news for iPhone 6 customers as well. T-Mobile customers who have purchased a new iPhone 6 from the carrier this summer now have the option to upgrade to the next iPhone without paying anything.

"Just swap it out and pay NOTHING more-nothing up front and no change to your monthly payment. No deposit. No fees. Nothing. You get the next iPhone guaranteed," added Legere.

T-Mobile has introduced a number of promotions to attract more customers to its network. The latest promotion may entice more customers in the U.S. to switch over to T-Mobile.
