Minecraft fanatics, rejoice! The latest update and downloadable content for the massively popular sandbox game is now available for PlayStation and Xbox consoles.
According to 4J Studios, the game's developer for consoles, gamers can download the new Title Update 27 for the Xbox 360 and the Content Update 15 for the Xbox One, while the patch 1.18 for the PS Vita, PS3 and PS4 are also available. The latest download also features the "Greek Mythology Mash-up DLC" pack.
The patch for Minecraft includes a variety of new in-game stuff, such as Acacia versions of wood, stair, planks, doors, fences and other items available in the game's Creative menu. Dark oak versions for a number of these items are also introduced in the update.
The Minecraft update, however, is primarily designed to address several game issues, such as fixes for bugs that were discovered by players after releasing the previous major patch. These include issues with stacking doors and wolves that were not registering damage properly.
Meanwhile, the new "Greek Mythology" DLC is released as a premium download available for all gaming platforms. It features new player interface, special soundtrack, a custom set for texture and 39 new skins. Gamers can also play as the thunder god Zeus, the sea god Poseidon and multitude of cyclops and other monsters from Greek legend.
