In the increasingly competitive smartwatch market, Huawei is said to make a splash with its own Huawei Watch, which it showcased to the technology industry back in March at the Mobile World Congress.
Though there isn't a specific release date for the upcoming Huawei Watch running on Android Wear, the recently rumored leaked images of the smartwatch sitting inside its elegant box is enough to send Android fans in frenzy.
Earlier reports have stated that the stylish watch is experiencing significant delays before launch, but with the latest leaked images posted by Italian website HDblog, many are speculating that the release date for the Huawei Watch may be sooner than we think.
The photos show a stylish, textured leather box with gold treamings and the embossed logo of Huawei on top. This is certainly different from the usual cardboard boxes other smartwatches are housed in.
The luxurious looking watch is said to feature a full circle design with a 1.4-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 400 x 400 pixels, translating to a pixel density of 286ppi. It will run on a Snapdragon 400 chip with a 1.3GHz clock speed.
Also, the Huawei Watch is reported to have 4 GB of storage with 512 MB RAM. It comes with a charging cradle, a USB cable, and a power adapter to charge its 300 mAh battery.
The watch will have a 42 mm stainless steel case with a protective sapphire crystal cover and will be available in silver, black, and gold. Customers can also choose between a stainless steel and leather watchband.
Besides its aesthetic qualities, the Huawei Watch will have Bluetooth connectivity, a built-in microphone, a heart rate monitor, an accelerometer, a vibration monitor, easy access to messaging and calls for frequent contacts, and Google Now.
Retail price for the Huawei Watch is still unknown. Right now the best thing we can do is to start saving up for this classy wearable technology while we wait for its launch date.
Meanwhile, here are more pictures of the luxurious-looking Huawei Watch box.
