Huawei's Honor 7 smartphone that launched in June 2015 is now globally available via online retailer OppoMart.

The Honor 7 packs in top-end features but has a very competitive price tag that can attract many smartphone enthusiasts. Earlier this month, the latest Huawei handset was made available for pre-order in China and within the first week itself about 9 million units were pre-ordered.

The Honor 7 is officially available in China, which means prospective customers of the Honor 7 will have to depend on retailers such as OppoMart to buy the handset. OppoMart is selling the 16GB version of the smartphone for $429.

The new Honor 7 sports a 5.2-inch IPS LCD display with 1,080 x 1,920 pixels resolution and 424 ppi. A powerful octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 935 processor clocked at 2.2 GHz and 3GB of RAM powers the handset providing seamless and flawless multi-tasking experience.

In China, the handset is available in 16/32/64GB models. People who want to store more data on their Honor 7 can use a microSD card and expand the memory to an additional 128GB.

The new smartphone is equipped with a primary 20MP Sony IMX230 camera. Taking selfies is getting very popular among smartphone users and keeping that in mind Huawei included an 8MP front-facing camera in the Honor 7.

The handset has phase detection auto focus that allows focusing on a subject in just 0.1 seconds. Under the camera is the fingerprint sensor that can be used to unlock the Honor 7 with just a tap.

The Huawei handset has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS connectivity. The Honor 7 comes running on Android 5.0 Lollipop. A powerful 3,100 mAh battery fuels the Honor 7.

OppoMart product specification suggests that the Honor 7 measures 144.9mm by 72.1mm by 6.4mm, or 5.70 by 2.83 by 0.25 inch, and weighs 144 grams, or 5.07 ounces.

The handset supports LTE band 1 and band 3, which means that the Honor 7 cannot be used in North America but the smartphone will be compatible on LTE networks in some Asian and European countries.
