Dog The Bounty Hunter Hunted! Duane 'Dog' Chapman Slapped With $30 Million Lawsuit By Rival

The Dog himself gets hunted down when Duane "Dog" Chapman and his wife Beth were slapped with a $30 million lawsuit by a rival Bounty Hunter for allegedly manipulating his story when he was featured on an episode of their hit reality television series, Dog the Bounty Hunter.

Charles Fisher claims that his reputation in the bounty hunting community has been soiled forever because of the heavy editing the show did for his appearance. Furthermore, he claims that the couple only paid him $5,000 out of the promised $20,000 for selling them some phone lines.

In the show, Dog and Beth: On The Hunt, Fisher was portrayed as a "corrupt bondsman" who used his jail connections to get better business. The episode also allegedly manipulated his story by showing a supposedly phony conversation to make it appear as if he was able to make off with $20,000 in collateral.

On The Hunt also made it look as if Fisher stiffed his insurance company. According to Fisher, his career as a bounty hunter is "drying up" as a result of his portrayal on the show.

Lately, Dog had opened up about the 18-month time he spent in a Texas prison and proudly says that he is what "rehabilitation stands for."

Over the 27 years of his fugitive seeking career, Dog has recorded 8,000 captures. He also shared that he and his wife are proud to go state to state on their show to teach a new generation of hunters how to do their profession.

"Back in the day, it was like: 'I was in the service, I can kick some a--. Can I be a bounty hunter?' Now I get calls saying: 'I just graduated with a degree in psychology, can I go on some jumps?' There's a whole different type of person. There's a lot of bounty hunters, but don't get it confused, I don't represent the profession - I just teach it," he shared in a phone interview.

This season's show was to be a homecoming of sorts for Dog, as the series filmed in Texas, where the bounty hunter said it all began for him. Although he is not legally allowed to capture bail runners and fugitives in the state, he was able to work with private investigators and licensed bounty hunters working in the state of Texas.
