Russell Westbrook seemingly has an animated facial expression to match every single one of his mind-bending, dynamic moves on the basketball court.
Whether it's pounding on his chest and letting out a roar after posterizing somebody, looking like the "Iron" Mike Tyson of basketball, as some have described him, on relentless drives to the hoop, or seething when catching fire from the field, NBA fans would be hard-pressed to name a more passionate superstar than the Oklahoma City Thunder's All-Star point guard.
Westbrook, better than anybody, understands how zoned-out and animated he can get on the court during games. So, when he came across this video of a social media impersonator, replicating his priceless reactions and expressions—and doing them well, might we add—all Russ could do was laugh at himself.
Westbrook tweeted the following upon seeing the clip Monday evening (July 13).
The impersonator, @BdotAdot5, definitely captures the essence of Westbrook's in-game faces and expressions, especially after that hard drive and one-handed dunk, to which he breaks into his all-out, flexing shenanigans just like Russ does.
It's great to see that Westbrook, who won the NBA's scoring title for the 2014-15 season and is easily a Top-5 player in the league, has a good humor about himself. That's sure to make fans only like him more.
