Fallout Shelter is one of the most popular mobile games currently available, and Bethesda is making efforts to deliver necessary updates in a timely manner.
Bethesda introduced Fallout Shelter back at E3 2015 not too long ago, introducing the title for mobile devices to keep fans engaged until the rollout of Fallout 4. Although it was only released last month, Fallout Shelter already received new content and bug fixes in the form of an update from Vault-Tec engineers.
As a reminder, Fallout Shelter allows players to oversee the Vault, assigning jobs to characters, managing the life of the Vault's inhabitants and repelling the raiders when the settlements are under attack. The game was an instant hit and numerous fans downloaded the title as soon as it came out, excited to get a taste of the action before the highly-anticipated Fallout 4 comes out.
The new update now brings several improvements, fixing some issues some users have experienced with the game so far, as well as adding some new features such as a photo feature. In addition to bringing some general tweaks to enhance the overall experience, the new update also fixes the issue with the Vault air filters.
An announcement on Bethblog, i.e. the official Bethesda blog, explains the features of the latest update to Fallout Shelter, so here's what to expect.
As previously mentioned, the update introduces a new photo feature. Overseers of the Vault are encouraged to observe and record any odd dweller behavior related to this feature. Players can also have the option share with those outside of their Vault if they prefer so, without risking replacement or termination.
Players have also been complaining about issues with Vault air filters, which prevented some mothers from delivering their babies. The latest update fixes this issue, so mothers should now be able to deliver their babies as they should.
Lastly, Bethesda has also added some general maintenance tweaks, aiming to fix the sudden Vault shutdown. It has also eliminated other issues that affected the capacitors inside some aspects of the simulation.
When it comes to the game's availability, Bethesda has promised to roll out Fallout Shelter to Android devices as well, sometime in the near future. The game is currently available only on iOS.
More exciting news is en route, as QuakeCon 2015 is about to kick off on July 23. Bethesda will be showing off Fallout 4, The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited and Doom.
