We learned a lot about Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice over the weekend during San Diego Comic-Con. However, as of this morning, there was still more to reveal, including a tweet showcasing a new batsuit worn by Ben Affleck as Batman in the film.
In Batman v Superman, at least according to the trailer that came out of this weekend's San Diego Comic-Con, we see a Batman who's gone a little nuts with the vigilantism and decides to take on Superman, the world's most revered man. Meanwhile, the world wonders what kind of hero it needs while a new evil plots to threaten everything.
In the trailer for Batman v Superman, we see Affleck in the new batsuit during a desert scene, although we don't yet know why Batman is in the desert. But now, we have an even closer look at Affleck in the costume, thanks to a recent tweet by photographer Clay Enos.
There was also a glimpse of the suit during the official trailer released on Saturday:
Batman's desert outfit here looks almost steampunk, and harkens to not only the Gotham by Gaslight Batman, but also the suit from JSA: The Liberty Files, one of DC's Elseworlds story. That non-canon story showed the Justice Society of America not as superheroes, but as government operatives during World War II.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice premieres March 25, 2016.
