EA announced a new free update to The Sims 4 Thursday that is perfect for anyone who thinks their Sims have too much privacy — or not enough.
This update has now made locked doors a part of the game. The new addition is partly the result of fans wanting to create employee-only rooms after the release of The Sims 4 Get to Work expansion pack, according to a post announcing the new update on The Sims 4 official website. In addition to standard locks, players also have the option to create locks that only let their Sim in and a universal lock for the household. New gender-specific doors have also been added with this update.
Players also now have the option to build half walls that come in five different sizes, all shorter than the length of a full-size wall. The three medium sizes may be used for living room dividers, borders for the kitchen or to display decorations. There's also a low wall which may be used as an architectural border and a tall wall that can help players make rooms within rooms. Half walls can be constructed just like building a fence, according to the post on The Sims 4 website.
This update is free and available now.
