The Flash’s Season Two Costume Makes a Comic Con Appearance Featuring a Familiar Nod to the Source Material

For a show firmly dedicated to the mission statement of exposing fandom to the latet in popular culture, Comic Con sure can move slowly sometimes - especially when one is attempting to navigating through the halls of the San Diego Convention Center through throngs of picture taking cosplayers.

Even The Flash relishes the opportunity to take a breather.

The superhero star of the CW series of the same name lent his second season costume to display at the DC Comics booth on the showroom floor, adjacent to exhbits from fellow TV series arrow and a trio of costumes from the company's upcoming Batman and Superman cinematic showdown.

The speedster's costume caught the eye of some eagle-eyed show goers, due to a newfound loyalty to the character's comic version. The big difference between seasons is the yellow on white chest logo familiar to old school fans from the comics pages.

Also present: the even older school Jay Garrick helet from Flash's golden age days (which also made a cameo late in the first season), when cranial protection was of upmost importance. And for good measure, here's a guy dressed as The Flash, waiting seeking assistance from some friendly SDCC employees.
