After a seven-year hiatus, the two manga creators who go by Akira Himekawa announced that a new Legend of Zelda manga is set to hit shelves.
"2015, after 7 years ... The Legend of Zelda manga series returns! Please support it," the team wrote on their website, as translated by Anime News Network.
To celebrate the return of the magna, Himekawa released artwork that featured different looks of the popular character Link: "Which version of me can you meet this time? Look forward to finding out!!"
The creative team is behind the 10-volume Legend of Zelda magna series that ran from 1998 to 2008, adapted from the popular video games by the same name. The series includes the stories The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, A Link to the Past, and Phantom Hourglass, among others.
They also drew a prequel to the 2011 game The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, which was published in 2013 in the U.S. by Dark Horse.
Most recently, Himekawa worked on the magna series adaptation of My Little Pony called My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. They also just relaunched their website, which will soon be available in English.
While many details about the new Legend of Zelda manga are not yet known, we do know that it will be released this year.
