iOS 8.3 Jailbreak TaiG 2.1.2 Released And Ready For Download: Here's The Buzz

TaiG has released its jailbreak for iOS 8.3, a jailbreak that is now updated to support Cydia, essentially allowing users to take advantage of jailbreak tweaks, altering how iOS 8.3 will work on the iPhone.

The new jailbreak has a number of people wondering if they should make the jump to iOS 8.3 from the last jailbroken version of iOS, 8.1.2.

There are, however, a number of good reasons to make the upgrade. The new jailbreak, which is version 2.1.2 from TaiG, is much more stable than the previous version, with most of the bugs being fixed and the software now working for most with next to no issues.

Of course, one of the biggest draws of the new software is that jailbreak tweaks are now compatible. While not all tweaks are available, the most popular ones are. Swipe Selection, for example, now works and gives users the ability to swipe across keyboard letters in order to write words or phrases. Another one is called Mobius, which allows users to open the last-used app simply by swiping the screen to the right. CloseAll is another popular tweak, allowing users to close all the apps that are open by holding the cross button on an app window and selecting "yes" when the CloseAll dialogue box appears.

Another big feature in the jailbreak for iOS 8.3 is that it is now compatible with the Apple Watch, which is very handy for those who own an Apple Watch.

It's important to note that those on the fence about updating to iOS 8.3 will need to think quickly because of the fact that Apple is set to release iOS 8.4 next week, effectively taking iOS 8.3 off the menu. It is not yet known if the TaiG jailbreak will work on iOS 8.4, however, that uncertainty alone should be enough for users to upgrade to the more stable iOS 8.3.

Not everyone, however, is a jailbreaking veteran, with many still on the fence about the practice. Those that do jailbreak their device do so because of a lack of customization compared with Android devices. Those unfamiliar with jailbreaking should be aware of what it involves, however. The practice essentially hacks your phone to offer more options, however, it also often introduces more bugs. It is very easy to remove the jailbreak by simply pressing the "restore" button on iTunes to restore the device to its last backup.
