Google Is Seeking Creators To Test Its Jump Virtual Reality Rig

Google is hoping you "jump" for joy with interest in testing out its latest product.

The tech giant is opening up invitations to anyone interested in trying out its new Jump virtual reality rig.

"Select creators will get access to Jump starting this summer. If you're interested in hearing more or getting the chance to take a Jump camera out for a spin, sign up below," Google says on its online form.

From there, people will have to answer very basic and brief biographical information about themselves, before describing how they would like to use the Jump virtual reality rig. As part of the simple two-page form, Google does say that "awesome" answers will be ranked higher, so the more detail, the better if you want to get your hands on this awesome piece of technology.

Google showed off its Jump virtual reality rig at I/O back in late May and good lord did it leave people salivating. The rig has 16 GoPro Hero4 cameras for a sick 360-degree panoramic video. The fact that it can be attached to a tripod or drone make it that much more enticing.

There's no telling how many "select creators" will get access to the Jump, beginning this summer, but one would think that YouTube content creators with high volume of views—and with a good idea for its use— might get first dibs.

So, think of a creative way to use the Jump and you may be one of the first few to test it out.
