Meadow Walker, the only child of the late Fast and Furious actor Paul Walker, honored her dad during her second Father's Day without him on her Instagram account. In November 2013, Walker was killed in a tragic car accident after leaving a charity event.
The actor clearly formed a close bond with his now 16-year-old daughter. She has been sharing these memories through poignant throwback photos on social media.
Her simple yet touching Father's Day tribute was simply a smiling baby photo of herself with Walker kissing her on the cheek. She captioned the memory: "Happy Father's Day."
Walker's closeness with his daughter reflects the bond he also shared with family and friends. His brother Cody Walker helped finish his last movie Fast and Furious 7 by working as his stand-in and body double for certain scenes. CGI was used to recreate the actor's face where needed. Cody also continues to speak for the charity Reach Out Worldwide (ROWW), which Paul founded.
"Aside from acting, his daughter [Meadow] and ROWW were the most important things in his life, hands down," Cody said of his brother.
Paul's Fast and Furious family bid him a solemn farewell in the movies that helped to catapault his career.
Co-star Vin Diesel named his daughter Pauline to honor the memory of his good friend and he often performed tributes to Walker's life and friendship, such as when he sang "See You Again" at the MTV Movie Awards.
Meadow often posts throwback photos of her father, highlighting the special connection they shared even though he has passed on.
