The Samsung Galaxy S6 is still less than three months old, but we're already seeing plenty of good deals on the Samsung flagship offered by various retailers.
The latest of these deals is one currently being offered on eBay, where seller 232tech has listed an unlocked version of a 32 GB Galaxy S6 for only $529.99. For the price, buyers get a whopping $150 discount on the full price of the smartphone being sold by the wireless carriers. And the last time we saw a Galaxy S6 deal drop to around $500, the phone was priced $579.99.
This is currently the lowest price one can pay for an unlocked Galaxy S6. And in the United States, there is no option to purchase the handset without being locked into a contract by one of the wireless carriers, which is probably a compromise Samsung struck with the Big Four to ensure its smartphone reaches the American market. On Amazon, Samsung has slashed the price of an unlocked international version to $573.12, which is still more expensive than the one being sold on eBay.
For this deal, there is no choice between black, white or gold. Buyers can only get the black version of the handset. Also, the seller says that the Galaxy S6 up for grabs is made for any North American GSM/LTE network. Specifically, the phone includes support for all of AT&T's LTE bands and bands 2 and 12 on T-Mobile's network. It does not, however, include support for T-Mobile's main HSPA+ band, but users can still use 3G in places covered by T-Mobile's 1,900 MHz band.
For buyers in the United States, the seller offers free shipping and promises that the package will arrive within three to five business days upon checkout. Those who can't wait to get their hands on their brand new Galaxy S6 also have the option to pay more for expedited shipping. International shipping is also available to several countries, although buyers will have to shoulder the fancy price of having their phone shipped overseas.
The Galaxy S6 is Samsung's latest and greatest smartphone. It runs on Android Lollipop 5.0.2 out of the box, but users can install the OTA update to Android 5.1.1, which Samsung lately began rolling out. It features Samsung's homegrown octa-core Exynos 7 processor, 3 GB of RAM and a 16-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and LED flash.
