When extreme hunger sets in, Denny's is one of the most popular good ole American restaurants that is there to save the day. And now the restaurant chain will start serving costumers superhero-worthy dishes with its new Fantastic Four-inspired menu.
The family diner is partnering with 20th Century Fox to offer a limited-time (appropriately named) "Slamtastic 4" menu that features four new dishes.
The dishes include: the "Human Torch Skillet," which includes two eggs, potatoes, bell peppers, onion, jalapenos, pico de gallo, pepper sauce and sausage; "The Thing Burger," which includes a beef patty topped with hash browns and an egg, served with fries; the "Fantastic Four-Cheese Omelet," which includes three eggs staged with cheddar, Swiss, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheeses, sun-dried tomatoes, spinach, bacon mushrooms and onions, served with a side of hash browns and bread; and the "Invisible Woman Slam," which includes two blueberry pancakes, topped with strawberries and banana, along with two eggs, bacon or sausage, and hash browns.
Other new menu items include a Fantasic Four smoothie and desserts.
Along with the new menu items, Denny's is also rolling out a Fantastic Four sweepstakes that will give customers the chance to win a trip to the movie's premiere on Aug. 4. The "Slamt4stic" grand prize includes round-trip airfare for the winner and a guest, a two-night stay in a four-star hotel, and two tickets to the Fantastic Four screening. An allowance of $250 for ground transportation and a $1,000 gift card for expenses will also be awarded to the winner.
"As America's diner, we are known for our 'come as you are' atmosphere that welcomes and embraces guest from all walks of life, even superheroes! We are thrilled to partner with 20th Century Fox to combine the high-powered spirit of the Fantastic Four movie with our classic diner atmosphere for an epic experience that offers something for everyone," senior vice president and chief marketing officer of Denny's Corp. John Dillon says in a press release. "From our 'Slamtastic 4' superhero-themed menu to in-store merchandising and a national sweepstakes for fans, we were inspired by the movie's classic comic book characters and look forward to celebrating the upcoming movie debut with fans."
Along with the superhero-inspired menu and sweepstakes, dedicated TV spots which air nationally will roll out starting July 6 that will show the characters at the diner. Denny's "The Grand Slams" web series will also air two exclusive Fantastic Four episodes starting on July 1.
This is not the first time Denny's has released movie-inspired menus. The restaurant chain previously offer limited-time menus for the Hobbit franchise, that included items like "Build Your Own Hobbit Slam," "Gandalf's Gobble Melt," and "Frodo's Pot Roast Skillet."
Denny's "Slamtastic 4" menu will roll out June 23, and Fantastic Four fans can enter the sweepstakes online.
