Commuters Beware: A 'Jurassic World' Crate Shows Up In London Train Station

During early morning commutes, we're usually only half awake — clutching a cup of coffee as we navigate our way through crowded trains like zombies. But commuters might just end up running for their lives – and not just to catch their train – if dinosaurs escape the crate placed at a London train station on Friday.

With the theater release of Jurassic World just one week away, Universal Pictures deposited a crate with "predatory livestock" from the movie's InGen Technologies in the Waterloo station of London's tube.

A commuter captured images of the crate, which quickly made the front page of Reddit. While the crate does say "danger," and for "trained handlers only," it didn't stop the commuter from snapping a photo with their hand about to grab the latch.

Redditors wondered what's in the box (obviously nothing but hype), with one suggesting that a guy should "pop out every 10 minutes just snarling like a raptor."

Others were concerned that the dinosaurs could escape, with one user posting, "please don't put dinosaurs on the trains. I'd like to get home without trying to hold the doors shut on a hungry raptor."

The crate is just one of the marketing ploys Universal Pictures has unleashed in preparation of the movie's release. They also teamed up with Dairy Queen for a "Jurassic Smash Blizzard" that contains peanut butter cookies smashed together with cookie dough.

While we can't help but wonder if more dino crates will be dropped at other locations, one redditor revealed that more surprises may be coming to Waterloo — so commuters beware.

"Big things will be happening at Waterloo station next week for Jurassic World! (source: work for one of the companies involved)," wrote redditor fionacinderella.

In the meantime, London commuters can check out the crate for themselves, and see Jurassic World in theaters June 12.
