We've been hearing for quite some time now that George Miller's failed Justice League: Mortal project would get a documentary.
It appears as if it is happening for real, as the first set of concept arts have hit the web.
The folks behind the documentary leaked the concept art of Aquaman and Wonder Woman on Twitter, and the released images caused shock waves among the comic community as they look upon what could have been.
The design of Aquaman is similar to that of the new design with Jason Momoa. However, it shows that Miller was going after the classic Aquaman as the concept art showed a white male with blond hair. Furthermore, his right hand is missing, and in place of it, a hand made of water.
This Aquaman has gills on his face and scales over his body. The traditional armor and Trident are there as well, along with the pants we've come to love over the years.
He doesn't look as angry and frightening as the Jason Momoa take on the character, but he looks good nonetheless.
Now, when it comes down to Wonder Woman, we can't see much of her in the concept art released. There's a car falling, and it appears as if she's trying to keep from hitting the ground. We keep looking, but it is almost impossible to tell if a civilian is inside it or not.
We understand that these are not the final designs and are just among many that George Miller and his team could have gone along with at the time. At a later date, the guys are planning to release the concept image for Batman. We suspect that when the picture of the caped crusader is published, the Internet is going to go up in flames.
It might take a while, and chances are The Flash and Green Lantern costumes will come first before anything related to Batman. We wonder if this Batman will look similar to Ben Affleck or entirely different.
