We've seen quite a lot of the Batmobile on the set of Suicide Squad due to the filming of scenes of Batman chasing the Joker and Harley Quinn, but this is the first time we've seen it up close.
The leaked high-quality image of the Batmobile looks exactly the same as the one in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but with an important missing piece of equipment.
Look closely at the front and folks will realize the machine gun is gone. We're not sure if it is retractable or what, but it is just not there anymore. We're guessing if it is retractable, then it is clear that Batman doesn't need it since he's just making moves against the Joker, and not the Man of Steel or anything that might have to do with Lex Luthor.
Then again, this could confirm that what we're looking at is probably a Batmobile before the events of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and before the main story in Suicide Squad. Indeed, these things being shot could be the origin story of Harley Quinn, and why she found herself among the most vicious criminals in Gotham.
If such is the case, then we'd love to find out why Batman chose to add a mini cannon to the Batmobile. What could have pushed the caped crusader so far to the point where he feels he needs to have a big gun attached to his sweet ride.
Well, we'll definitely find out what is what, but it is going to take 10 months to a year for us to get the low-down on everything.
Both Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad are the only DC movies set to come out in 2016. If these films fail at the box office, then chances are, Warner Bros. will not feel compelled to continue with the DC Cinematic Universe. It would be a real shame if that should happen, but it wouldn't be a first for DC properties after Superman Lives and Justice League: Mortals.
