The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is easily one of the biggest games ever made. Even if you stripped all of the side-quests and exploration out of the game, it'd still be absolutely massive. From the story, to the world itself to the insane amount of different things to do, The Witcher 3 is one of those titles that fans can play for years on end without finding everything the game has to offer.
That being said, CD Projekt Red isn't done with the world of The Witcher quite yet. In addition to larger, more traditional expansion packs further down the line, CD Projekt Red has promised that a truckload of free downloadable content is on its way.
Sure, these DLC packs will probably be smaller in nature, but in an industry where seemingly every publisher is scraping the bottom of the barrel for paid content, it's a great change of pace.
What's even better is that fans won't have to wait all that long for the DLC to hit - in fact, the first two pieces of free DLC are set to launch later this week:
The first piece is relatively simple: CD Projekt Red is releasing an alternative outfit for one of the game's main characters, Yennefer. It's not a huge departure from her other outfit, but for those who want Yennefer to look a bit more medieval, CD Projekt Red has got you covered.
In addition to Yennefer's new wardrobe, The Witcher 3 is also getting a new mission: 'Missing Miners.' Apparently, a small group of miners from a town in Skellige have gone missing - and it's up to Geralt to figure out what's happened. The team hasn't gone into much detail on what fans can expect to see during the mission, but if 'Missing Miners' is anything like the game's other side-quests, it probably won't be pretty.
