Whenever Gwyneth Paltrow and food get together, it seems to cause nothing but trouble. She and Martha Stewart seemed to get into the most passive aggressive Thanksgiving recipe feud ever back in November, and who can forget all of the backlash she encountered for trying — and ultimately failing — to live off of food stamps for a week?
However, Paltrow is at it again, and this time, she seems more determined to get you to eat like her than ever.
Paltrow is launching an organic food line with her business partners, fitness trainer Tracy Anderson and Maria Baum, according to a recent Q&A between Paltrow and Anderson in Hamptons magazine. The new company is called 3 Green Hearts, and it will sell organic meals on-the-go featuring such Goop-y food items as juices, quinoa salads and kale ravioli. Oh, and there's going to be frosting shots.
"[It came about] because, along the journey, we've always understood how important [food is] to our bodies is; it's a complete marriage with the fitness," Anderson said during the interview. "As people become more aware of organic foods, the importance of eating things that are whole and nutritious [becomes clear]."
Unfortunately, you won't be able to find this upscale takeout food on Seamless or however you get your Pad Thai delivered to your door. It will at first be available through Anderson's new East Hampton and Water Mill studios and then eventually through the fitness trainer's other locations. And who knows? The organic food line could also end up on Goop too. It sure seems like a natural progression, what with Paltrow espousing wisdom on all apsects of your life since 2008.
Think what you want about Paltrow's latest business venture, but let's not forget that Beyonce launched a vegan meal delivery service back in February, and that woman can obviously do no wrong. Paltrow also recently told Women's Health that there are no foods that she stays away from, and considering that she looks the way she does, maybe it wouldn't be such a bad thing to follow her nutritional advice after all.
It's unclear when 3 Green Hearts will launch or how much it will cost once it does, although it sure sounds like it will set you back more than $29 a week.
