Daughters Of Legendary Blues Singer B.B. King Claim Their Father Was Poisoned

Karen Williams and Patty King, the daughters of legendary Blues musician, B.B. King, claim that their father was murdered by his manager and personal assistant. According to documents submitted by their lawyer, the women believe that their father was murdered with poison.

In light of the allegations, homicide detectives from Clark County, Nevada are conducting an investigation. An autopsy has been performed but toxicology results will not be available for at least eight weeks.

According to reports, the Clark County Coroner in Las Vegas, John Fudenberg, officially lists B.B. King's death as multi-infarct dementia -- caused by a series of small strokes. King had been suffering from Type-2 diabetes for over two decades, which likely caused the strokes. He was 89 years old.

However, Williams and King, two of B.B. King's 15 children, submitted separate but identical sworn affidavits saying that they want their father's death looked into more closely.

"I believe my father was poisoned and that he was administrated foreign substances to induce his premature death. [I] request a formal investigation into this matter," both women wrote.

The point the finger at B.B. King's business manager, LaVerne Toney, and his personal assistant, Myron Johnson, are the ones who poisoned him.

The family has had a long-standing feud with B.B. King's business assistants even before he passed away.

According to reports, back in November 2014 , Patti King accused his assistants, who had power of attorney over him, of abusing her father and "pilfering up to $30 million from him." She also filed police reports accusing them of withholding medication from her father and stealing two Rolex Watches worth $25 thousand.

In April 2015, a judge in Nevada rejected Karen Williams' petition to take over control of her father's estate from Toney.

Regarding these new allegations of murder Toney told the Associated Press, "They've been making allegations all along. What's new?"

B.B. King's estate, as well, does not seem to side with the poisoning theory.

"I hope they have a factual basis that they can demonstrate for their defamatory and libelous allegations. This is extremely disrespectful to B.B. King. He did not want invasive medical procedures. He made the decision to return home for hospice care instead of staying in a hospital. These unfounded allegations have caused Mr. King to undergo an autopsy, which is exactly what he didn't want," Brent Bryson, in charge of B.B. King's estate, said in a statement.
