Taylor Swift's 'Bad Blood' Breaks Vevo's Record For Most Views In 24 Hours

"Bad Blood," Taylor Swift's new music video, breaks existing records and is now the most viewed video on Vevo, with 20.1 million views in just 24 hours.

The video debuted Sunday at the recently concluded 2015 Billboard Music Awards and featured an all-star cast that included Selena Gomez, Ellie Goulding, Lily Aldridge, Cindy Crawford, Karlie Kloss, Jessica Alba, Lena Dunham and Hailee Steinfeld. It also featured hip hop artist Kendrick Lamar who did the rap part in the video.

"Bad Blood" video's latest tally toppled Nicki Minaj's "Anaconda," which earned 19.6 million views in August 2014. Other record holders include "Beauty and the Beat" by Justin Bieber with 10.6 million views, "We Can't Stop" by Miley Cyrus with 10.7 million, "Best Song Ever" by One Direction with 12.3 million and "Wrecking Ball" by Miley Cyrus with 19.3 million.

Vevo also noted that Taylor Swift's lineup of videos, which includes her smash hits "Mean," "Shake It Off," and "You Belong With Me" currently hold a record of 5 billion total views. The view count for Swift's latest "Bad Blood" video had somehow resulted from the artist's thoughtful campaign over social media, which involved character posters of each celebrity guest in the music video.

It could also be an extension of Swift's success at the Billboard Music Awards where she won eight major titles such as Top Female Artist and Top Billboard 200 Artist, making her the most awarded celebrity of the night. Even her 1989 album won the Top Billboard 200 Album in the awards show.

Swift, who kicked off her U.S. tour in Louisiana on Wednesday, May 20, quickly turned to social media to thank her fans, her video co-stars and the video's director Joseph Kahn.

"FREAKING OUT RIGHT NOW YOU BROKE THE VEVO WORLD RECORD THANK YOU," tweeted Swift.

Swift also gave a massive shout-out to her celebrity friends who starred in the video.

"I'll never be able to thank you enough, @JosephKahn @kendricklamar @selenagomez @karliekloss @iammarthahunt @LilyAldridge @Caradelevingne."

"Thank you SO much @SerayaLove @jessicaalba @GiGiHadid @CindyCrawford @EllenPompeo @elliegoulding."

"Girls, this is CRAZY. Thank you so much @Zendaya @yelyahwilliams @lenadunham @Mariska @EllenPompeo @HaileeSteinfeld."
