Jurassic World is approaching faster than a Tyrannosaurus Rex in the rear-view mirror, so it's no surprise Universal and Legendary Pictures have just released a handful of new TV spots for the film.
Both of these previews give us a look at some new footage, but one of them in particular is interesting because it shines a little more light on the relationship between Chris Pratt's character, Owen Grady, and his crew of trained Velociraptors.
For example, did you know each raptor in Pratt's pack has a name? There is Charlie, Echo and Blue, which is the beta of the pack. If you are wondering who the leader of the pack is, that would be Pratt himself, who says he is the alpha. Of course he is.
No doubt these raptors will play a major role in the film as Pratt and company look to stop the rampaging Indominus Rex from destroying Jurassic World and all the people (and dinosaurs) at the park. Speaking of Indominus Rex, we get a few new glimpses of the beast in these TV spots, like one where the massive dinosaur comes crashing through some trees to attack.
The second TV spot puts an emphasis on the parks dwindling numbers and how a new, genetically modified dinosaur will hopefully cause a spike in park attendance. It's all stuff we've heard before, but there is some new footage sprinkled throughout the one-minute trailer.
With modern day technology, piecing together dinosaurs is much different from when the creative minds of InGen first brought dinosaurs back to life in Jurassic Park. You can read more about that here. If you are in a less serious mood, you can also check out this video of Chris Pratt "warming up" for his extensive stuntwork in the film. We are using the words "warming up" very loosely.
Jurassic World is in theaters June 11.
