Stephen Curry is having the NBA season of his life, gaining yet another All-Star Game selection, leading the Golden State Warriors to a franchise-high 67 wins and being named the league's MVP.
But even the sharpshooting point guard can't compete with his daughter, Riley. After scoring 34 points to lead the Warriors to a 110-106 Game 1 win over the Houston Rockets on Tuesday night, Curry brought his adorable two-year-old daughter with him for his postgame press conference.
Riley instantly took over, telling her dad to "be quiet," before waving to members of the press and even hiding under the table. At one point, Curry said, "She's only 2, which is the craziest thing." Riley's cute press conference takeover made her a trending topic on Twitter. Go Riley!
The moral of the story? You can be one of the biggest star athletes in the world—which Curry undoubtedly is—but you'll still play second fiddle to a cute toddler. If Stephen didn't already know that, he definitely knows it now.
It turns out that Curry bringing his kid to work sparked some debate on ESPN's First Take on Wednesday morning, when both reporter Brian Windhorst and Skip Bayless agreed that it's not the right move to make.
Riley's antics came nearly two weeks after Derrick Rose's son, Derrick Rose Jr., also took over his dad's postgame press conference with an assortment of funny faces.
As cute as Riley Curry and Derrick Rose Jr. are, when it comes to NBA toddlers, we have to give the crown to Chris Paul's son, who memorably did his best Blake Griffin impersonation three years ago. Peep it here.
