LG G4 U.S. Release Date Leaked By Verizon

As LG begins to ship its new flagship G4 smartphone, no U.S. carriers have announced a release date. Verizon might have leaked its release date via its dedicated LG G4 page.

Smartphone fans will soon have a choice between the latest and greatest from Apple, Samsung, HTC, and LG, now that LG has announced its flagship G4 smartphone will begin shipping this week in key markets.

"The LG G4 is our most ambitious smartphone yet because it is unlike any other flagship mobile phone on the market today," said Juno Cho, president and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Co. "Our vision is to create our own set of standards without worrying about what trend other smartphones are following. We think we have a winning formula because the initial reaction to the G4 has been tremendously positive."

LG will release the G4 in Hong Kong this week, followed by releases in Turkey, Russia and Singapore. The smartphone will then make its way to most of Europe and then North America. LG and U.S. carriers haven't announced an exact release date but considering the smartphone just passed through the FCC for certification to run on Verizon and Sprint's network, the wait shouldn't be much longer.

A new report sheds some light on when Verizon customers might see the LG G4 officially released by the carrier. The site noticed that Verizon's LG G4 landing page could provide the clue and it's displayed front and center on the handset's lock screen.

Rumors have suggested that the LG G4 will be released by AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, and T-Mobile during the first week of June. As you can from the image above, Verizon's variant shows a June 4 date on the G4's lock screen, which falls in line with the rumored first week of June release date.

For now, we'll have to file this in the rumor category and we'll be sure to keep you posted on any new U.S. LG G4 official release dates as the information becomes available. Are you planning to purchase a LG G4 when it becomes available? Let us know in the comments below.
