Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus revealed its first smartphone, the OnePlus One, in April 2014 and since then many customers have complained of touchscreen issues. The One features Cyanogen OS. Now, CyanogenMod 12.1 nightly has a fix for the problem.
The majority of the smartphones did not have any problems; however, several customers complained that the touchscreen of their OnePlus One becomes unresponsive at times. Complaints from customers about the same touchscreen issue made the Chinese company work hard to find a fix and recently OnePlus revealed that a fix was coming soon.
The fix has been released and the latest CyanogenMod 12.1 nightly published on May 15 fixes the problem of the OnePlus One's touchscreen.
Many users have downloaded the fix on their handsets and have reported that the fix seems to work. Some users suggested that the touchscreen might not respond if the handset is used in the sun. Some users, who have fixed the touchscreen problem with CynogenMod 12.1 nightly, are still waiting to see if the handset works well especially with issues of heating.
"Fixed my problems so far. Just updated latest nightly and all touch issues are gone. Going to leave it in the sun for a while and see how it goes," said a Reddit user.
However, some users have said that the heating problem of the handset has also disappeared.
"I had issues with the heat. My phone was beyond unusable, but now it's flawless. You can believe!" said another Reddit user.
The OnePlus One is the first phone launched by the company, and many customers are happy with the handset. Customers who are waiting for the next phone from the company hope that there are no problems with the touchscreen.
Device owners also hope that the latest fix for the touchscreen problem is also issued over the air soon.
If you have a OnePlus One that has touchscreen issues, then you can try downloading the fix from CyanogenMod.
