Russian Robot Jack Will Be Back In 'Tekken 7,' Bandai Namco Reveals [Video]

Russian robot Jack returns to the classic fighting game Tekken 7 developed and published by Bandai Namco.

The Japanese fighting game was first released in 1994 and since then a number of sequels and updates have been released by the game producers. Tekken 7 will be the ninth instalment in the game series, which will see a number of new characters.

The fighting game was widely released in mid-March this year with 26 playable characters. However, only 20 were available at launch. Other characters are being added over time

Bandai Namco has revealed via a video that the Russian robot character called Jack will re-appear in Tekken 7 as Jack 7. The character looks very similar and has similar fighting moves in comparison to other Jacks in previous versions of the games. However, Jack 7 has a pink Mohawk and neon green light on its body.

The video trailer of the game shows Jack 7 fighting with Alisa Bosconovitch, an android with detachable body parts. Alisa first appeared in Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion.

Jack was part of Tekken in 1994 but has been re-appearing in the game series under different names. In Tekken 3, the character was called Gun Jack and in Tekken 5 the character was re-introduced as Jack 4 and then upgraded to Jack 5.

Jack also appeared in Tekken Dark Resurrection, Tekken Tag Tournament, Tekken Revolution, Tekken Hybrid, and more.

While Jack is one of the important and anticipated characters of Tekken 7, the game producer has also released a number of new fighters to the latest version of the game series. Katarina Alves, a Brazilian character, made her first appearance in Tekken 7. The character is believed to be beginner-friendly.

The game developers also added a new Arabic character called Shaheen in Tekken 7, which is also designed as a beginner-friendly character.

In Japan, Jack 7 will be added to Tekken 7 on May 19.
