Samsung unveils Galaxy Tab4 Series 10.1, 8.0, and 7.0 mid-range tablets

Samsung has just unveiled its latest Galaxy Tab4 Series tablets. The company will offer the tablets in 10.1-inch, 8-inch, and 7-inch screen sizes and will ship sometime in Q2 of this year.

We've seen news of Samsung's Galaxy Tab4 tablets leak over the last couple of weeks and now the company has made its latest trio of tablets official. The Galaxy Tab4 series was designed to be Samsung's mid-range tablet offering behind the company's high-end Galaxy TabPRO and Galaxy NotePRO lines. The Galaxy Tab4 series features very similar specs aside from screen size.

The Galaxy Tab4 7.0 boasts a 7-inch WXGA display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 and will run Android 4.4 KitKat. The tablet is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor and 1.5GB of RAM. Its camera capabilities will consist of a 3-megapixel rear camera and 1.3-megapixel front facing camera for video chat. The Tab4 7.0 will be offered with 8GB or 16GB of internal storage and will also include a microSD expansion slot that will support up to 32GB microSD cards in the 3G / WiFi model, while the 4G LTE variant will support up to 64GB microSD cards. Samsung hasn't listed the Tab4 7.0's battery capacity at this time.

The Galaxy Tab4 8.0 will ship with an 8-inch WXGA display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 and run Android 4.4 KitKat. It will use a 1.2GHz quad-core processor and 1.5GB of RAM. The Tab4 8.0 will ship with a 3-megapixel rear camera and 1.3-megapixel front facing camera for video chat and selfies. It will include 16GB of internal storage and a microSD expansion slot that will support up to 64GB microSD cards. The Galaxy Tab4 8.0 will be offered in Wi-Fi only, 3G, and 4G LTE capable models. The tablet will also include a 4,450mAh battery.

The Galaxy Tab4 10.1 will feature a 10.1-inch WXGA display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 and run Android 4.4 KitKat. The tablet is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor and 1.5GB of RAM. It's packing a 3-megapixel rear camera and 1.3-megapixel front facing camera. It will ship with 16GB of internal storage and a microSD expansion slot that will support up to 64GB microSD cards. The Galaxy Tab4 10.1 will be offered in Wi-Fi, 3G, and 4G LTE variants. It will also include a large 6,800mAh battery.

Samsung hasn't announced pricing or an exact release date, only saying the Galaxy Tab4 will ship sometime in Q2 of this year and all models will be offered in choice of black or white.
