After Floyd Mayweather Jr. picked Manny Pacquiao apart, cruising to a unanimous decision win Saturday night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, "Money May's" fellow athletes—retired and active—took to Twitter and other social media avenues to react to the "Fight of the Century."
While many expressed disappointment at the fight's overall lack of fireworks, many praised Mayweather for managing to remain undefeated...and look good doing it. Here's the best reaction we came across.
Mike Tyson
We waited 5 years for that... #underwhelmed #MayPac

The fight did lack some major punches, but was typical of a technically-sound Mayweather bout. Oscar De La Hoya
Call me old school but I like the fans getting their money's worth by watching an action packed fight. — Oscar De La Hoya (@OscarDeLaHoya) May 3, 2015
We wish it had more action too, Oscar. Skip Bayless
You many Manny fans out there: Do not allow yourself to be brainwashed. Your man is classy&honest. Truly believes he won. He should have. — Skip Bayless (@RealSkipBayless) May 3, 2015
ESPN's Skip Bayless might be clinically insane if he truly believes Pacquiao won. Come on, man! Stephen A Smith
Surprise. @RealSkipBayless has lost his damn man. No way did Pacquaio win this fight. Skip is beyond bugging. Understood. SPURS. #SoreLose. — Stephen A Smith (@stephenasmith) May 3, 2015
Sour grapes is right. Someone keep an eye on Skip after Pacquiao and the San Antonio Spurs lost in the same night. What a Sunday morning he must be having! Magic Johnson
Congrats to the champ Floyd Mayweather on his win against Manny Pacquiao and remaining undefeated at 48-0! — Earvin Magic Johnson (@MagicJohnson) May 3, 2015
This is how it looks when one champion recognizes another. Shaquille O' Neal
The champ does it again ,congrats Maymeather you still the greatest to ever do it. Great fight — SHAQ (@SHAQ) May 3, 2015
Better than Muhammad Ali? We don't think so, Shaq. But nice try. Lennox Lewis
Some ppl want blood & get disappointed when they don't get it. Doesn't take away from fact that Floyd is a great technician. #MayPac — Lennox Lewis (@LennoxLewis) May 3, 2015
Lennox is right. Sometimes fight fans don't respect the boxer who hits accurately and doesn't get hit. CJ Spiller
Another great performance by @FloydMayweather people can't hate on that he has been great at his craft.#48-0 — Cj Spiller (@CJSPILLER) May 3, 2015
Well, there's no denying that..
