With Baltimore still in a state of emergency amid protests, riots and looting over the death of Freddie Gray, the Orioles are playing their Wednesday home game against the Chicago White Sox in an empty Camden Yards.
Police, state officials and the ball club agreed that it would be the best move to make out of precaution. This comes after Saturday's game against the Boston Red Sox, which had the Orioles keep their fans in the stadium well after the ninth inning because of mounting tensions between police and protesting Baltimore residents.
The Orioles then wound up postponing their Monday and Tuesday games against the White Sox to a doubleheader in late May.
On Tuesday night, Baltimore police had a standoff with the protesters in the streets while trying to uphold the 10:00 p.m. curfew.

Of course, we all know that this situation is much bigger than baseball, but for what it's worth, the Orioles are currently up 6-0 in the third inning.
