LG is preparing to unveil its latest flagship smartphone, the G4, on April 24. LG has just confirmed the device will go on sale on April 29 in Korea.
April has certainly been a very eventful month when it comes to new devices being released by some of the biggest tech companies. Apple began taking preorders for the company's first smartwatch, the Apple Watch, in early April and now, the wearable has begun to ship ahead of its April 24 official release date.
Samsung and HTC both began selling their latest and greatest flagship smartphones. Samsung is off to a great start with its Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, which reportedly received double the preorders of its Galaxy S5 predecessor in the U.S. alone.
HTC has begun shipping its One M9 and to entice customers, has created a free 'Uh-Oh' protection plan that promises to replace the handset for free due to a cracked display, water damage or switching carriers.
LG is the latest smartphone manufacturer planning to unveil its 2015 flagship smartphone, and it will do so on April 28. The company has confirmed that some customers won't have to wait long to get their hands on the LG G4.
According to a new report, LG has already started taking reservations for the G4 in Korea, and customers will be able to pick up the smartphone in select stores on April 29.
The LG G4 is expected to feature a 5.5-inch 2560 by 1440 quad-HD Quantum IPS display, 1.8 GHz hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, 3 GB of RAM and high-end 16 megapixel rear camera.
There's no word on when other regions can expect to receive the LG G4, but we'll likely find out that information and more on April 28.
