Jared Leto's Joker Look Just Leaked In The Strangest Way Possible

Someone at DC should probably take Jared Leto's phone away from him.

Just days ago, the actor posted a short video to Snapchat that ended up giving fans their best look at his Suicide Squad Joker makeup yet. That being said, it was only half-finished, and Leto's goofy expression in the photo didn't really help fans get a clear picture of what the finished product would look like.

Right from the start, it was obvious that - while it was the best look fans had gotten - it wasn't an accurate representation of what to expect.

Fans who were hoping for a better look at the Joker didn't have to wait long: the Snapchat photo may have been a sneak peek, but a new photo of what appears to be Leto showing someone his phone may have just revealed what Suicide Squad's Joker may actually look like:

Either DC is turning this whole 'Joker reveal' thing into some major viral marketing ploy, or this random photographer has the best timing in the world.

Surprisingly, the picture actually does reveal a lot. Sure, it's not a high-res picture in the slightest, but it's easy to see that - if the subject in the picture is the Joker - he's wearing a white suit. This would be yet another tie to Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns, in which Batman's greatest villain ditches the purple coat and wears a slick white suit. Considering the Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice teaser was basically a series of The Dark Knight Returns references, it makes a whole lot of sense that the Joker would be wearing an appropriate outfit.

It's important to remember that, given the quality of the image, there's a chance that the subject of the photo isn't the Joker. Of course, if it wasn't the Joker, that would mean that Jared Leto would have a picture of another white-faced, lipsticked, green-haired man sitting on his phone.

All things considered - it's probably the Joker.

Suicide Squad will debut in theaters on Aug. 5, 2016.
