Marvel Unlimited subscribers can now enjoy reading about a galaxy far, far away, as more than 500 Star Wars comics have been added to Marvel's digital comics service.
If you aren't up to speed on what Marvel Unlimited is, here is a quick rundown: for $9.99 a month or $69 a year, subscribers get virtually unlimited digital access to more than 15,000 Marvel comics.
Now you can add a giant batch of Star Wars comics to that already massive list of reading material. Each of these comics fall under the new "Legends" tag, the name given for older Star Wars stories that are no longer considered canon. While they aren't within the official Star Wars continuity like Marvel's new Star Wars comics, there are still plenty of great tales to enjoy.
Marvel Unlimited's "Discover" section will feature various Star Wars characters and storylines that readers can dive straight into, including spotlights on characters like Boba Fett and Darth Vader. The sections will be regularly updated to help users sort through the vast sea that makes up Star Wars Legends. Some other storylines readers can expect to see are the exploits of the infamous Rogue Squadron as well as the rise of the rebel alliance.
More Star Wars Legends comics will be regularly added to the Marvel Unlimited library over time. Better yet, the new on-going Star Wars comics will be coming to the service in the near future as well, starting with Star Wars #1 by Jason Aaron and John Cassaday. Unlike the Legends brand, these tales are set within official Star Wars continuity and are must reads for fans who want to stay up on the latest happenings in a galaxy far, far away.
For a limited time Marvel is handing out one free month of the service for new and returning subscribers. If you've been waiting to brush up on your Star Wars history, now might be a good time to consider a subscription.
