Record Store Day Releases 2015: The 23 Best Albums And Singles You Need To Pick Up This Year

Though you've probably never set foot in a record store — maybe you don't even buy music anymore, for that matter — these little shops still exist around the country and the world. In fact, record stores even have their very own holiday. Now do I have your attention?

Record Store Day 2015 is on Saturday, April 18 this year. Since 2007, Record Store Day has celebrated the nearly 1,400 independently owned record stores and the culture surrounding them in the United States and thousands of others around the world every third Saturday of April. Now is your chance to live out your High Fidelity fantasy. Come on. You know you want to.

While any excuse to support local businesses and celebrate music is always welcome, there is a huge reason why you should run out the door on Saturday to get in on this year's Record Store Day festivities. Record Store Day is so special because many artists release music on vinyl and CDs that you can only get for those 24 hours. Many of these are reissues or never-widely-released albums and singles that you won't be able to get anywhere else.

The official Record Store Day website has a full list of releases available at participating Record Store Day locations, some of which are only available in certain locations or in extremely limited quantities. From hip-hop to country, a classic album from The Doors to newcomer George Ezra's debut album, here are 23 Record Store Day releases you won't want to miss.
