The MTV Movie Awards are to the Oscars what the MTV Video Music Awards are to the Grammys. No, of course, the awards don't really matter. It's just an excuse to gather a bunch of beautiful Hollywood stars into one room and have them do outrageous things like take off their shirts and spontaneously make out. In short, it's nothing but a good time.
And I am completely fine with that. Awards shows often take themselves so seriously, it's refreshing to see one that pokes fun at it all.
Now, have I whet your appetite enough to make you want to watch this year's ceremony? With a host like Amy Schumer, appearances by the likes of Robert Downey Jr., Reese Witherspoon and Mark Wahlberg and an exclusive sneak peek of Avengers: Age of Ultron to premiere during the telecast, there is so much entertainment packed into this one awards show, and you're not going to want to miss a second of it.
However, if you're in MTV's target audience, i.e. a youngster, you might not watch the network's content in the traditional way, sitting in front of a TV. You might even be a cord cutter and not own a TV set at all.
But MTV is always on the cutting edge, and the network that revolutionized TV and music forever is keeping up with the times. Even if you don't have cable, there are several ways for you to catch all of the wild moments from the 2015 MTV Movie Awards. Here's how.
On TV
If you do still watch TV on an actual TV and have cable and all that jazz, it'll be easy for you to watch the 2015 MTV Movie Awards. All you have to do is park yourself in front of your TV at 8 p.m. EST and turn the channel to MTV to let the good times roll. If you really want to get into this year's festivities, you can also catch the pre-show at 7:30 p.m. EST.
Live Stream
Just because you don't have a TV doesn't mean you have to miss out on all the fun. All Access Live allows you to live stream the 2015 MTV Movie Awards on MTV.com. However, this isn't just like any old live stream. Oh no. With more than 20 different camera angles available for you to watch what's happening on stage and behind it, you can tailor your MTV Movie Awards viewing experience to exactly what you want to see.
MTV App
No DVR? No problem! You can watch this year's MTV Movie Awards on the go by downloading the MTV app available for iOS, Android and Windows devices. Just log in with your cable provider credentials, and you'll be able to watch all of the shenanigans live as they happen.
Watch It Later
There's a lot of must-see TV on Sunday night, and I mean A LOT. With one of the final episodes of Mad Men and the Season 5 premiere of Game of Thrones upon us, the 2015 MTV Movie Awards has a lot of competition. In case everything else in the jam-packed Sunday night TV schedule is too awesome for you to pass up, you can always catch the MTV Movie Awards when the ceremony airs again after the live event at 10:10 p.m. EST, 12:05 a.m. EST and 2:30 a.m. EST, according to MTV's TV schedule. You can either watch the previously recorded ceremony on TV or through the MTV app. Remember, you can always DVR it too.
Periscope
In addition to watching the 2015 MTV Movie Awards on TV, through a live stream or on a mobile device, there's another way you can catch all the action this year: through Periscope. For the 2015 MTV Movie Awards, the network is experimenting with Twitter's new live video app to provide even more in-depth and intimate coverage of the event for viewers. Seeing everything that goes down on the 2015 MTV Movie Awards will now be just as easy as checking your Twitter feed.
