The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is set to be one of the biggest games of 2015 when it launches in May. Continuing the story of Geralt of Rivia, the series will be fully open world for the first time, as players embark on an epic quest to stop the otherworldly force known as the Wild Hunt.
Along the way they there will be hundreds of side quests and monsters to slay.
Can it be May 19 already? The game is still more than a month away, but that isn't stopping IGN from showing off the first 15 minutes of the Witcher 3 in action right now. Not that it will make the wait much easier. In fact, it probably makes it way more difficult.
Keep in mind, watching the below video will be entering definite spoiler territory.
If you want the start of the game to be a completle surprise, best to check out one of the other gameplay videos from one of the game's numerous side quests.
IGN skips the cutscenes at the opening of the game and jumped straight into the gameplay. Geralt and his pal Vesemir are traveling along the road when they encounter a massive winged beast terrorizing a man and his cart. In addition to plenty of horse riding, Geralt investigates some nearby ruins and battles a collection of bandits. It helps give you an idea of the game's combat system and how navigating the world will work in Witcher 3. Plus, the entire video just looks plain gorgeous. Seriously, just look at this:
The footage comes as part of IGN First, which highlights a specific upcoming game every month to explore in-depth. Expect plenty of Witcher 3 news over the course of the month as IGN reveals more about the game.
