Boy Breaks Down During Sushi Bet, Sister Steps In To Save Him

It can be hard to get children to eat certain foods like broccoli or Brussels sprouts, let alone more exotic foods that stray away from their preferred chicken nuggets and french fry favs.

But this one dad came up with a fun way to get his young son to try a piece of sushi—by bribing him with $10.

Sure cash talks, but this boy could not put the money where his mouth is, and breaks down during this sushi bet video.

The bet goes as follows: the boy has to eat one single piece of sushi without gagging or making faces and he will be rewarded with $10, and his parents will take him to the store to buy some item he wants. If he doesn't eat the sushi, he gets no money; however, if he attempts to eat it and throws up, he will owe his dad, Casey Levi $10.

The boy hesitates and debates whether this is a good idea or not. Sure he wants ten bucks, but he simply can't get over the fact that sushi, to him, is disgusting.

The video starts with him being all smiles, but he quickly breaks down and makes the most repulsive faces at the tiny piece of raw fish wrapped around rice and cucumber.

"Just do it, don't even think about it," Levi encourages.

But it takes almost two minutes of pep talking to have the boy even try to lift the piece of sushi to his mouth. So his dad gives him a minute countdown to take his sushi challenge, but the boy waits until the clock is down to 30 seconds to put his hands on the food.

"This is disgusting," he says altering moaning and making some facing faces, but finally agrees to do it.

Just when the piece of sushi gets to his mouth and he teeth are about to chop down as his parents do the final countdown, the boy gives up and says he can't do it.

Leaving no challenge unaccepted, the boy's little sister steps in to save her brother. She willingly accepts the sushi challenge, shoving the entire piece into her mouth.

Watch this boy break down and his sister save the day in the video below.
