The first Jurassic Park showed just how terrifying dinosaurs would be if they were still walking around. The second and third movies, however, basically left the franchise drifting through limbo. After years upon years of waiting, Jurassic World is almost here - but will it actually be worth watching?
While it's a bit too early to tell, the first few trailers are enough to be optimistic about. So far, they've all been great : most are relatively quiet, the new dino isn't shown much at all and it looks like the studio knows what it's doing.
Thankfully, the latest TV spot keeps that trend going.
To be fair, it's a TV spot - anyone hoping for a ton of new footage within a 30-second time frame is going to be disappointed. The spot also follows the same exact formula that fans have seen over and over again that this point: Chris Pratt broods over the dinosaurs, one jumps out of the water and the Indominous Rex is always way too close to the camera.
You can check out the TV spot below:
That being said, there's no telling what the final film will be like. There's definitely a chance of the movie being a loud, explosion-filled action flick...and, there's just as much a chance that it'll actually be a quiet, atmospheric film. It's still too early to know for sure, but as it stands, the trailers have done a decent job of selling the film as a return to the franchise's roots.
At this point, it's easy to assume that most fans just want something that'll help them forget Jurassic Park III ever happened...
Jurassic World will finally hit theaters on June 12.
