As the WWE's biggest show of the year, everyone hoped that WrestleMania would deliver - and, for the most part, it did.
The pay-per-view certainly didn't revolutionize wrestling, but it was a far cry from any of the WWE's filler PPVs like Fastlane.
Many will likely remember this year's WrestleMania as a return to form, and hopefully, one that lasts.
There are always a few standout moments from each WrestleMania, and this year's was no different: whether it was the entrances, the Superstars or the matches themselves, WrestleMania 31 did not disappoint. Let's take a look at some of the highlights.
Randy Orton lands the greatest RKO ever
The Seth Rollins vs. Randy Orton match was a good early-show fight, and one that allowed both Superstars to really work off one another. Orton may be the veteran here, but Rollins looked fantastic...right up until the end, that is.
It's not every day that one man gets launched off another man's back, and watching Orton actually make the turn in time to land the RKO was mind-boggling. The standard RKO suddenly looks pretty tame in comparison...
Triple H is the Terminator
Sure, it probably didn't go how most fans expected it would, but that didn't stop the Sting vs. Triple H fight from being one of the best of the night. After all, you can't start a match off with a bunch of dead Terminators and not deliver.
Sure, it was absolutely ridiculous and blatant advertising, but at least those skulls were cool, right? The big news now is that, yes, Sting lost. Perhaps it was because everyone expected him to lose, or because Triple H needed the Rock to set up next year's WrestleMania match, but Sting lost.
Will it be his last match at WWE? It could very well be, especially since the man himself admitted it (via Associated Press): "I'm feeling like this is probably going to be my last one...We'll see how everyone reacts. If I'm asked to do one more at Survivor Series or maybe even WrestleMania next year, at this point, I would consider it. But realistically, this is going to be it." Will Sting return? Who knows - hopefully, the WWE can send one of wrestling's all-time best out on a win.
The Undertaker returns
There's really nothing to say about the Undertaker vs. Bray Wyatt. As with many of the show's matches, it feels as if the Deadman's return was made simply to correct last year's mistakes. That being said, it doesn't get much better than this:
Seth Rollins finally cashes in
After nearly a year of waiting, Seth Rollins is finally champion.
In retrospect, it really was the only way the WWE could have ended that match. Roman Reigns needed to be the hero, but he couldn't win - the WWE Universe just wouldn't have it. Brock Lesnar was going to lose the championship, as he needed to be the one to boost Reigns' career...but he couldn't give the belt to him directly. So, how do you have two people fight over a championship without either one winning?
That's where the Money in the Bank briefcase comes in.
It wasn't the most revolutionary way to end a match, but it made for a satisfying ending to a fight that wouldn't have had one otherwise. There are plenty of storyline possibilities here, the WWE Universe can go home happy and Seth Rollins has finally gotten his reward for last year's victory.
So, what's next for the WWE? Well, for the first time in nearly a year, no one knows: Brock Lesnar was expected to leave, Sting was expected to win and no one expected the Rock to show up. In terms of storylines, the WWE has been an absolute mess for well over a year now - with the big WrestleMania reset behind it, perhaps the company can finally move forward.
