Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge Preorder Gift Deals: Free Wireless Charging Pad, Free Year Of Netflix

As Samsung prepares for the April 10 U.S. release date of its brand new smartphones, the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, two significant preorder deals have emerged.

Samsung's release of its brand new flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, is only weeks away, and preorders have already begun on most major U.S. carriers. Customers can now preorder the device of their choice via AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and U.S. Cellular, or at retail giant Best Buy.

Verizon joins the fray on April 1, the carrier's designated date for preorders.

Consumers can also begin previewing the handsets at select locations, allowing prospective buyers to check out the new design and features in person. Samsung has a dedicated finder page where customers can locate the carrier store or Best Buy of their choice, where they can test out the Galaxy S6 or S6 Edge.

In order to entice consumers to buy from them, Best Buy and T-Mobile have announced special deals offering buyers something extra when they preorder one of Samsung's new smartphones. Best Buy, in conjunction with opening its page for preorders, has announced that those who order and purchase the new Samsung Galaxy S6 or Galaxy S6 Edge will receive a free wireless charging pad, valued at $59.99. The Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge support wireless charging, one of the new features that differentiates the handsets from their predecessors, and from Apple's iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, Samsung's biggest competitors in the high-end smartphone market.

Another deal, announced earlier this week via Twitter by T-Mobile CEO John Legere, offers buyers of Samsung's new smartphones via the carrier a free year of Netflix. Devices purchased between now and April 12 will qualify, and the promotion must be accessed by May 21. The deal is available to the first 92,000 buyers of the Samsung Galaxy S6 or S6 Edge who qualify. Current Netflix customers as well as new customers are eligible, and the value of the subscription exceeds $100.
