Pi Day 2015 Deals: The Best Discounts To Celebrate Math's Biggest Day

To the uninitiated, today is just March 14, 2015. It's just another Saturday in March. Nothing special to see here.

However, the math lovers of the world know today is their day. It's Pi Day, a day dedicated to celebrating the mathematical constant Pi, the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter, which starts out with 3.14 and goes on for digits and digits and digits. It's also Albert Einstein's birthday, so the world generally uses March 14 to celebrate all things math.

March 14, 2015 is an especially glorious Pi Day because when the date is written out as 3/14/15, it shows the first five digits of Pi, at least in the places where people write dates as month/day/year, like in the United States. Tack on the time of 9:26:53 a.m. and p.m., and you've got the first 10 digits of Pi (3.141592653).

The date and time won't match up as perfectly with Pi for another 100 years, so you better enjoy it while it lasts. Luckily, there are plenty of ways for you to get your Pi Day celebration on. In addition to loads of celebrations at museums and universities across the country, many stores, restaurants and websites are offering deals and discounts in honor of Pi Day.
