Apple Spring Forward Apple Watch Event: Top 5 Things To Expect

Apple is hosting yet another event on March 9, with the company expected to unveil a number of great new products.

So what exactly will we see at Apple's "Spring Forward" event? Here are the top 5 announcements expected from Apple on March 9.

1. The Apple Watch

This one is obvious. It is largely expected that Apple will discuss the Apple Watch, likely either announcing that it will be immediately available or announcing a specific release date for the device.

Apple first announced the new product at its October event, and it is now expected to be the best-selling wearable device ever. Boasting a huge range of customization, the Apple Watch will change the wearable market forever.

2. iPad Pro

One new device that many have suggested will be released is the all-new iPad Pro, enlarging the range of iPad devices. The device will be a massive 12.9-inches and will be marketed mostly as a professional device rather than one for consumers. Despite this, some suggest that the iPad Pro has been delayed due to manufacturing issues. Even if this is true, we could certainly see the device announced with a release date of later this year.

3. 12-inch MacBook Air

Apple has reportedly completely redesigned the MacBook Air, with an emphasis on an even thinner chassis.

The laptop will also likely include fewer ports and a high-resolution Retina display. It was previously expected that the device would be announced late in 2014, however production of it was reportedly delayed due to Intel's low-power Broadwell chips being pushed back.

Apple also reportedly revamped the 11-inch and 13-inch laptops, offering improved specs and upgraded displays.

4. iOS 8.2

Apple will likely announce more details about the upcoming Apple Watch, but the watch will not work with the current version of the iPhone. Apple also will likely mention the next iOS 8 update, being iOS 8.2, which will be able to communicate with the Apple Watch.

Apart from the support for the Apple Watch, iOS 8.2 is also expected to include a few bug fixes and tweaks to the Health app.

5. Apple TV

Apple has reportedly been working on a slimmer, faster Apple TV set-top box, which is expected to include a more streamlined and easy to use remote.

Apple had reportedly wanted to ship the Apple TV box starting this month, but it seems as though Apple is still in the early stages of its discussions with content providers, likely pushing back the release of the device.
