Apple 'Shot With iPhone' Ad Campaign Suggests iPhone 6 Camera Is Awesome: Do You Agree?

Apple continues its campaign of promoting the utility of its products, curating a collection this time of some of the best images shot with iPhones. The Apple iPhone World Gallery is live and the new Shot on iPhone 6 campaign is about to spread out across the globe.

The Shot on iPhone 6 follows Make a Film with iPad ad spot, in which students from the Los Angeles High School for the Arts shot and produced a film on iPads. The ad spot featured narration from screenwriter and director Martin Scorsese and was broadcast alongside the Oscars.

Before showing how the iPad can be used to create films, Apple pushed the iPad's utility in music production by releasing an ad spot in which Swedish singer and rapper Elliphant collaborated with other artists to remix a song. While the rhyming and FaceTiming took a lot of effort, the Shot on iPhone 6 campaign may be grander.

The Shot on iPhone 6 campaign will feature the work of over 70 photographers, with the selected images snapped with Apple's latest smartphone series. The selected shots will be featured in print media in 70 cities and 24 countries, gracing newspaper ad space up to billboards.

Apple has timed the release of each of its latest campaigns with major events and the scheduling of the Shot on iPhone 6. But before considering the bigger picture, check out six of the amazing images that are featured in the Apple iPhone World Gallery:

The unveiling of the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge attracted headlines to Samsung and the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. With Samsung showing off a smartphone camera that has twice the resolution of Apple's latest handset, the release of the Shot on iPhone 6 campaign displays the power of the iPhone's image processing technologies and helps attracts headlines back towards the iOS maker.

After a point, the value of pumping more pixels into pictures start to diminish greatly and the ability to properly color those dots becomes even more important. Samsung has been behind Apple on quality in mobile cameras, though the S6 could bring with it the shooter that puts the Galaxy maker ahead of Cupertino beyond units shipped.
